WHAT'S IN MY BEACH BAG

Many people love to spend time by the water, dig their toes in the sand, and soak up the sun. Although hanging out by the beach can be plenty of fun, it's important to come prepared! Today I'm sharing with you what I pack in my beach bag.

I like to bring a small bag to keep my bathing suit in. When you decide to change into your swimwear, you can keep your clothing and undergarments in it; this is the best way to ensure that they'll be protected from the water and sand, so you can change into dry clothes later.
Let's talk beauty and skincare (the fun part!)

1. First and foremost, make sure to bring sunscreen so you can reapply throughout your time at the beach. It's important to have a facial sunscreen and a body sunscreen. You want to have a separate sunscreen for your face because sunscreen formulated for the body tends to be heavier and can clog up your pores.

2. If you have sensitive skin like me, and your face gets irritated and red after being in the sun too long, a great product to have with you is Avène's Eau Thermale. It's thermal spring water that soothes and softens; you can spray it on as frequently as you like.

3. If you like to wear makeup to the beach I recommend the YSL Volume Effect Cils Waterproof Mascara. Another fabulous product for the summer is Fresh's Sugar Lip Balm. It will moisturize your lips even more so than chapstick because its formula contains sugar, which retains water. Secondly, it has SPF that will protect your lips from the sun. And thirdly, it doesn't have a heavy pigment. It will give you the slightest rosy hue on your lips that will look very natural.

4. Of course after purchasing Tom Ford's body oil I had to try it out at the beach! It smells absolutely heavenly and it has very small gold flecks that will glimmer in the sun, but not make you look like a disco ball. The formula is great; it isn't sticky and it won't stain your clothes.

5. If your hair gets tangled easily, throw in a Tangle Teezer compact brush into your beach bag. This little brush packs a big punch! With its unique bristles and shape, it detangles your hair, keeping it smooth. And a plus-- its cap keeps the brush's bristles protected so you don't have to put it in a cosmetic bag.

Being in the heat for a long time is draining, thusly it is vital to stay hydrated and well nourished. I suggest bringing a reusable water bottle (mine is from Life Factory) and some snacks.

Make sure to bring a small pouch for your phone and charger! You want to make sure it's protected from the water!

A few things that will protect you from the sun (and keep you looking fabulous as well), are a pair of sunglasses (make sure to bring them in their casing), and beach hat or cap.

That's all! Happy beach trips and thanks for reading!
