Superkilen Park is a public park in Copenhagen, about 1km long, designed by the Bjarke Ingles Group.

When I first heard about the park, I looked up some pictures and I couldn't believe how insanely well designed this small stretch of land was! One group of people completely transformed the idea of a park, and made it into an livable, walkable art exhibition!

When you first enter, there's a massive hill that has all these painted lines which gives the area an amazing sense of movement.

Then throughout the center part of the park there are all these brightly colored structures and benches....

Towards the last third of the park, you reach an area that is completely pink and red!

One of my favorite details was this series of benches that were actually swings!

Here are a few more of my favorite pictures!

What made Superkilen Park such a special experience for me, was that it served as proof that people instinctively react to good design. There were families, teenagers, the elderly, all enjoying the park, and everyone was taking pictures. As someone who loves art and design more than anything, the experience served as testament to the importance of beauty in our world, as it will always be linked to human connection.
If you are ever in Copenhagen, make sure to check it out!
