The latest restaurant on my radar is Washington D.C.’s Iron Gate!

Iron Gate has Italian and Greek small plates, and a beautiful outdoor courtyard with seating. They have lights intertwined amongst the branches that line the top of the courtyard, and large white couches that surround a fire, with tables spread throughout the rest of the space.

It is the ideal restaurant for groups, sharing the delicious small plates in such a beautiful setting is such a lovely experience.

A must have dish is the Crispy Roussa’s Feta from the lunch menu, it’s feta cheese coated with sesame seeds. The outside is crisp, and you bite into it and the cheese melts into your mouth.

My favorite dish however is on the dessert menu. The lemon tart is an innovative and unique approach to the traditional dish, complete with meringue and cardamon gelato, it is refreshing and truly a must have.
